Hello to all. This is the testimony of what God has revealed to me and my husband in the last year and a half. I wrote this to respond to my friends letter question regarding our leaving the UPCI. It started just as a totally non-confrontational letter, and this is what I ended up with. I decided to turn it into my testimony, and just enclose it along with a personal letter. I just wanted to share it with my blog friends. Please let me know what you think of this. We have come such a long way, from being totally leagalistic to being free in Christ. Paul Banta’s Life Testimony
In 1952 my life got saved by polio Vaccine. In 1965 I got saved from an automobile accident and in 1983 I got saved from hell.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 says, “God has a special plan for me and it’s a plan that is good and not bad and I will receive it if I pray and seek God wholeheartedly”.
Sure wish I read that verse and followed it years ago, but I realized His plan and His will for my life were for me to go through allot before He had my whole heart. Born to a Catholic mother and a Lutheran father, I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic grade and high school, was an alter boy, and like many, rebelled against my parents and religion. College came and religion was furthest from my mind.

When I was seven, I told my mother she could no longer love me. I told her I was a bad girl and that I was too bad to be loved again. Together, my mom and dad, took this opportunity to tell me of God’s redeeming sacrifice through Jesus Christ. I then trusted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Having been raised as an only child (my brother is 13 years older) I had developed a special relationship with my Dad ~ I was “Daddy’s Little Girl.” Whenever we were out in public together, he always introduced me as his number one daughter. It made me feel special. He disciplined me only occasionally (Mom was responsible for that) and when it was necessary, it hurt me deeply.
